Afabi Association

Afabi promotes collaboration between artists and various social actors through programmes, projects, and events that incorporate artistic methods to address social issues. Afabi (Association for Arts-Based Initiatives) was established in 2013 and operated under the name Pro Soveltavan taiteen tila until 2022.

Afabi provides a platform where you can produce activities and strengthen the field of social practice arts together with others. To join the association, submit a free form application to the board.

With 192 members, Afabi encompasses a diverse range of professions, including theatre practitioners, producers, dancers, visual and photographic artists, socially engaged artists, art therapists, and writers. Additionally, the association includes members from non-artistic fields such as career developers, teachers, consultants, social workers, and youth workers.
